Permanent exhibition entitled “The Great Sanctuary of Mediterranean Art” by the Catalan Institute of Paleoecology and Social Evolution, directed by Ramón Viñas and Lluis Basat, commissioned by the City Council of Alpera on the occasion of the I Centenary of the discovery of the Cueva de la Vieja.
The room houses an exhibition on the great sanctuary of Levantine rock art. It consists of eight backlit panels with the history of the cave, researchers, details of the cave, an extensive photographic report and a DVD with the different phases in which the cave was painted, which can be viewed on a monitor located in the exhibition, complemented by panels from the previous exhibition held by the Association of Friends of the Cueva de la Vieja.
